Senior Frontend Engineer - AI Specialist
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial experience with React.js and modern frontend ecosystems.
- Proven experience leading large-scale refactoring or modernisation projects.
- Deep expertise in state management (Zustand, Redux, or Context API).
- Strong knowledge of React Query, React Hook Form, and Zod for validation and data management.
- Hands-on experience with Material-UI (MUI v5) - theme composition, customisation, and component reusability.
- Expert-level proficiency with AI-assisted tools (Cursor, Claude Code) for code acceleration.
- Demonstrated ability to improve team velocity (2–3x) through AI-integrated workflows.
- Solid understanding of architectural patterns, system decomposition, and design consistency.
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare or enterprise-scale applications.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Next.js, or micro-frontend architectures.
- Previous experience defining or tracking DORA metrics and continuous delivery performance.
- Interest in AI-assisted software delivery and emerging developer tooling.
Requirements:
- AI-Accelerated Refactoring
- Lead the refactoring of high-complexity components and legacy structures into modular, scalable architectures.
- Design and implement entity-based Zustand stores, React Query data patterns, and RHF + Zod form logic.
- Use AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code) to boost code generation, testing, and documentation velocity.
- Ensure incremental delivery and maintain non-breaking stability across releases.
- Define and track DORA metrics (lead time, deployment frequency, MTTR) via live dashboards to measure uplift.
Technical Leadership
- Break down significant legacy components using system design principles and architecture-first thinking.
- Enforce consistency in UI composition and Material-UI v5 theme customisation.
- Conduct structured code reviews with a focus on performance, readability, and maintainability.
- Create reusable patterns, establish AI coding standards, and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
- Collaborate with the AI Delivery Architect to ensure measurable quality improvements and alignment with the roadmap.
- Mentor a mid-level React developer on AI-augmented workflows and best practices.
About the Project
We are initiating a large-scale React refactoring of a healthcare management application - a core system used by medical professionals to manage patient workflows, appointments, and clinical data.
The mission: to achieve 2–3x development velocity through AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining production stability.
