About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Technical Interview Consultant with deep expertise in Shopify and Webflow development to conduct structured technical interviews for candidates applying to the Shopify + Webflow Developer position.
Your role will be to evaluate candidate skills, assess technical competence, and ensure that only high-quality developers progress through the hiring process. You will partner with the hiring team to define evaluation criteria, design interview questions, and provide objective recommendations based on technical performance.

Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with Shopify development (themes, Liquid, B2B functionality)
  • Practical experience with Webflow (site building, CMS, interactions, responsive design)
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Proven experience evaluating or mentoring developers, conducting technical assessments, or interviewing panels
  • Ability to create and use structured interview rubrics and scoring criteria
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical assessments clearly
  • Experience working in remote teams and distributed hiring environments
  • Professional approach to interviewing and candidate evaluation
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Shopify app development or custom integrations
  • Familiarity with e-commerce performance best practices and SEO
  • Background mentoring junior/middle developers
  • Experience with task tracking and collaboration tools (Jira, ClickUp, etc.)
  • Prior experience interviewing for frontend roles or web development positions
Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical interviews for Shopify + Webflow Developer candidates
  • Evaluate practical experience in Shopify theme/plugin development, Liquid, and B2B e-commerce use cases
  • Assess candidate proficiency with Webflow tooling, interactions, and custom logic implementation
  • Evaluate core frontend skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive UI principles
  • Test candidate confidence in API integrations, third-party apps, and custom extensions
  • Validate problem-solving ability, debugging approaches, and real-world implementation thinking
  • Provide clear technical feedback and structured interview summaries
  • Recommend pass/decline decisions based on technical performance and role fit
  • Suggest improvements to the technical interview process and question bank
  • Advise hiring managers on candidate strengths, risks, and training needs
