Platform Engineer
We are looking for a Platform Engineer to help architect and build a next-generation portal automation platform from prototype to production.
This is a greenfield product initiative. The client’s technical lead has the product vision and an early prototype - your mission is to transform it into a scalable, production-ready platform.
The product is an AI-powered, human-in-the-loop co-pilot that leverages browser automation and multimodal LLM capabilities. This role requires both architectural thinking and hands-on execution.
Requirements
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience
- Hands-on experience building Chrome/Chromium browser extensions
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs, including vision or multimodal models (e.g., GPT-4V, Claude Vision)
- Proven ability to architect and scale a product from prototype to production
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflow
- Strong ownership mindset and product thinking
Nice-to-Have
- Python (the broader ecosystem includes Python-based components)
- Experience with task queues, workflow engines, or state machines
- UX sensibility — understanding that interface and usability are critical in co-pilot systems
- Experience with Playwright or other browser automation frameworks
- Healthcare domain knowledge
Responsibilities
- Architect and build a scalable browser-based automation platform from scratch
- Develop and maintain Chrome/Chromium browser extensions
- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities, including multimodal and vision models
- Translate product vision and prototype concepts into a production-grade system
- Design a clean, extensible frontend and extension architecture using JavaScript/TypeScript
- Collaborate closely with the client’s technical lead to iterate quickly
- Implement AI-native development practices to accelerate delivery
- Contribute to UX decisions for a human-in-the-loop co-pilot experience
